Gun control

I dont think it is right for congress to make gun control laws. i think that all these laws that are being invented by congress are not right. Some of these laws do not make sence its just another way for the government to make the public feel safe. Real safety to me is having a gun so you can defend yourself when you are a victem of a criminal act by a person that could have a weapon.
There have been some senseless crimes that have been commited with the help of guns like the famouse columbine incident. Having no guns in the world might have prevented that but most likely the person that did that could have easily used knifes, blow darts whatever to accomplish his crime. My point is that a wepon is not what kills is the person handling the wepon that is the true killer. A wepon can be anything like a moving car that has been used in the past to kill people. I do not see crongress trying to outlaw cars.

  1. I wonder which laws you are referring to when you say that the United States Congress has already enacted or is trying to enact laws that control guns. To my knowledge, Congress has not enacted anything recently in regards to gun control. I understand that there are certain fears on the horizon as to the administration and or the Congress thinking about limiting guns, but I think that most of the is purely theoretical. While we are on the topic of laws, are you suggesting that all laws that limit guns in any way are bad? Does the public really need automatic assualt weapons? Wouldn't it make sense to allow most handgun and rifle sales to competent and law abiding citizens to defend their home and property, but to make other, unnecessary weapons illegal to the public? I believe so.

  2. yes your right they are just thinking about enacting the laws they are not in place yet. i dont think that any laws limiting guns that already exist are bad but any additional laws are unnesessary. there is enough work trying to enforce the laws that are already in place. there are still plenty of weapons that are still being used illigally in some different ways. what realy neds to be done is to make a greater effort to enforce the laws that already in place.
